What Size Cake Do You Need? A Practical Weight Guide

We bake and price cakes by weight rather than fixed sizes, so you order exactly as much cake as your table needs. Here is how to translate a guest count into kilograms.

Servings by weight

A half-kilogram cake cuts into roughly 4 to 6 party slices — right for a small family celebration or an office desk cake. One kilogram serves 8 to 12, and is the most common order for a birthday at home. Two kilograms serves 15 to 20, and three kilograms comfortably covers 25 or more when there are other things on the table.

These are party-slice estimates. If cake is the only dessert, or your guests are the second-helping kind, size up by half a kilogram. If it follows a heavy meal, the smaller end of each range is honest.

How our per-weight pricing works

Every cake on our menu shows a per-kilogram price — from ₹600 per kg for classics like Pineapple and Strawberry up to ₹1,200 per kg for Biscoff, Nutella and Chocolate Heaven. A larger cake is baked as one larger cake, not stacked leftovers, so a 2 kg Truffle at ₹1,000 per kg simply costs ₹2,000.

On the website you can order cakes from 0.5 kg up to 3 kg, and cheesecakes from 0.5 kg up to 2 kg, in half-kilogram steps.

Weddings and big functions

For tiered wedding cakes and functions beyond the website sizes, the weight depends on the design as much as the guest count, so those are quoted individually as custom orders. Message us the date, guest count and a reference photo on WhatsApp and we will confirm the weight and exact price before any baking starts.

When in doubt

Tell us the number of guests on WhatsApp and we will suggest a weight — we have been sizing Rewari’s celebrations since 1992, and we would rather you have the right amount of cake than too much or too little.
